TATTOO AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

The first 72 hours is a crucial period for your new tattoo so follow these aftercare instructions carefully:

1. Remove cling film after 2 hours and wash tattoo with mild soapy water. Pat dry with clean towel.

2. Apply Preparation H ointment. If tattoo is in contact with clothing cover tattoo with cling film (use wide cellotape), otherwise allow it to breathe.

3. Repeat the above procedure 3 times a day.

4. Ensure your tattoo is is washed, creamed and wrapped overnight for first 3 nights.

5. After 3 days and nights leave tattoo uncovered, wash and moisturise it as often as possible for a further 10 days using a non greasy unscented cream. Eg. Vaseline intensive care, E-45 or cocoa butter.

6. During healing do not: Soak, rub or scratch the tattoo. If scabbing occurs do not pick.

7. The healing process takes usually takes 10-14 days and the skin of the tattoo may peel during this period.

8. For the first 14 days avoid sunbathing, swimming, saunas, dirt, oil, grease, paint, industrial cleaners, caustic substances and raw meats.
